Ink as Breath
Why I only use black ink, how constraint became a compass, and what the page teaches me about pacing.
I draw with one color because choice can be a trap. Black ink is a metronome. It forces rhythm, restraint, and a kind of honesty that makes my hand slower than my ego.
**Three notes I return to:**
1. Stop before the line gets loud.
2. Let white space carry weight.
3. If I hesitate, I breathe, then commit.
Constraint isn't a cage; it's a compass. The page is a teacher that doesn't talk much.
